35 mm plastic slide boxes

I have several hundred 35 mm plastic slide boxes which do not have a recycling number in the triangular symbol. As such, they would likely not be accepted by the blue box company. The boxes are semi-translucent, like a ketchup bottle but are a somewhat harder type of plastic. Designed to hold 36 slides. Sometimes called a 'clamshell' box. They appear to be made in Canada. Photo-finishers will not take them back. Any suggestions as to what can be done with them, recycling-wise? Thanks, Don

If you can forward a photograph, we might be able to make use of them. Where are you located?
