For a list of over 2,500 environmental programs offered by Canadian universities, technical institutions, and colleges, check out the CCHREI Compendium of Environmental Programs (

I found a great site for enviro jobs, as well as a great training resource. If you go to, sign up as a job seeker and then you can search for environmentally related jobs, and use their Professional Development Centre (it's in their Career Centre) to find training in your part of the country. Worked for me, anyhow.

Integrated Environmental Planning Technology is a 2 year Diploma Program at Selkirk College Castlegar BC. When completed, go on to a year at Royal Roads and get your degree in Environmental Science. Very fast and intense!
